TU will be ranked with a win over Boise.... I think that you have the best shot of any team to hand them a loss.  They are week across the middle if your QB can throw in to coverage well you should have an easy time spreading this defense thin and moving the chains.  You have them at home, but they will be fresh off an easy win over div. 2 UC Davis.  BYU will benifit from a loss to Boise so I will be a Golden Hurricane fan for a game even though we owe you one from 2007 .   Good luck till then and good luck in October, and hey who knows you may be able to shut down OU.  It's possible!!!  Go TU!!

BAsed on tonight's game, it appears that a 10-win season is possible. The problem is that it would be tough to recover from two early losses to OU and Boise and still make the top 25 even late in the season. Regardless, the team is so much improved over a few years ago that expectations are high. Much happier to be a TU fan!

It does depend on the QB, but also on the defense which should be improved. The offense should be just fine, although it will be tough to beat the 07 and 08 stats with the tough schedule this year. If Tulsa can beat Boise and win the next few after that, they'll probably be ranked. If they can keep up with OU for some of the game, they will gain respect. Most analyst count the Boise game as a loss for TU. It should be a very good game (ref. BYU 2007). With the right QB and a gelled defense, TU could go 10-2 or even 11-1. There are 7 bowl teams on the schedule and C-USA is supposed to be drastically improved this year. It will be much tougher than last year, but the Golden Hurricane will be conditioned and experts at the extremely fast-paced no-huddle offense.
